Global Blueprint for AI Initiative 

The newly launched Global Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Sheikh Hamdan, will work towards harnessing technology for quality-of-life focused outcomes. The blueprint aims to contribute AED 100 billion ($27.2 billion) to Dubai economy while further bolstering the emirate’s digital economy. 

As a part of the initiative, a CEO will be appointed in every government entity as well as AI and Web3 incubators will be launched and a new commercial license for AI will be introduced. Furthermore, to integrate AI applications into the educational system, AI Week will be introduced in schools and colleges. The idea behind this move is to enable students to enhance their skills in line with future market needs and expose them to advanced tools and best practices in the AI field. 

According to Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai’s Global Blueprint will expedite the adoption of AI applications. The initiative will help Dubai’s economy achieve its Economic Agenda D33 targets by contributing an additional AED 100 billion ($27.2 billion) to Dubai’s economy. It will also boost UAE’s position to become a key tech hub and create a world-class infrastructure. According to a Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy report, the UAE’s Digital economy will reach AED 514 billion ($147 billion) by 2031. Furthermore, by adopting innovative digital solutions, Dubai’s economic productivity will be increased by 50%. The blueprint will be reviewed annually and updated to ensure the plan maintains pace with other developments in Dubai.
