Arab Health – Global Healthcare Medical Expo

Dubai – The Arab Health 2025 Exhibition and Congress marked its 50th edition by welcoming over 60,000 attendees and 3,800 exhibitors at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) last week (27-30 January). Touted as the largest and most significant event in the Middle East, Arab Health has grown globally recognized in the healthcare sector. In addition, Arab Health 2025 has evolved into the World Health Expo (WHX). Similarly, a new event, WHX Tech, has been introduced to highlight technology and innovation. WHX, the successor to Arab Health, will bring together multiple healthcare events under a single unified platform.

Themed ‘Where the world of healthcare meets’, this year’s milestone event unveiled the latest innovations and transformative technologies in the healthcare field. The 2025 edition of Arab Health featured over 40 country pavilions, with exhibitors from more than 80 nations. Exhibitors comprised from countries including the USA, UK, China, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare

One of the major sub-themes of the event revolved around leveraging AI to advance women’s healthcare by enabling a more personalized healthcare system. This was made possible through sophisticated algorithms capable of analyzing large volumes of biological data and diagnosing complex conditions in women. Likewise, AI is supporting modern spinal surgeries by improving surgical outcomes through accurate predictions. AI is promising to enhance patient care, reduce complications, and lower costs in the long term.

Preventive Healthcare through Genomics and Multi-Omics

Genomics and multi-omics are transforming healthcare in the Gulf countries by shifting the emphasis from treatment to prevention. Advanced technologies are now enabling personalized medicine, early disease detection, and improved longevity. This ensures that the Gulf countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia are at the forefront of global healthcare innovation and paving the way for a healthier, more sustainable future.
