Dubai to become Global Leading Provider of Dentistry Education – AEEDC 2018

The 22nd  UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) event was held on 7th and 8th February 2018 and concluded on a positive note. The AEEDC exhibition was hosted at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and attracted 50,000 visitors and participants from 133 countries.

The UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) is the largest dental event in the MENASA region (Middle East, North Africa and South Asian) and is considered to be the second largest dental event globally. By 2020, the organizers aim to make AEEDC the number one dental conference and exhibition globally.

Key Highlights – AEEDC Event

The AEEDC theme for 2018 was ‘Education & Innovation Transfer’ focusing on providing a real time experience to the dental students. Competitions and poster presentations were also conducted in the event, to actively engage the students. Global healthcare companies, dental industry leaders, dental specialists, paradental staff also participated in the event across 133 countries. Together they exchanged scientific information on the most advanced dental solutions.

With more than 4700 exhibiting companies, the AEEDC event unveiled the latest technologies and the newest products and equipments for dental professionals. Pioneer and innovative products such as ZirconLITH™ Dental 3D Ceramic Printer and  smart toothbrush were introduced to the UAE dental market during the event.

On the other hand, a number of high knowledge topics were discussed this year, including 2D and 3D methods of designing anterior teeth, Infection Control, Four Handed Dentistry, Implantology and Oral Surgery. The 22nd edition of the UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition also witnessed a session about Preventive Dental Medicine.

Dubai Strategy – To Become Leader in Dental Education

The event provided invaluable educational experience and an opportunity to review lectures and scientific abstracts highlighting the most advanced innovations in dentistry, in line with Dubai’s strategy to become the leading provider of evidence based continuous dental education to dental community. In fact, Dubai aims to become the regional medical tourism hub by rapidly developing the healthcare infrastructure and encouraging private sector investments and collaborations from global healthcare providers.

AEEDC to Boost Dubai’s Dental Education & Healthcare Industry

In 2018 edition of AEEDC event, business deals sealed over the 3 days surpassed Dh 11 billion, boosting the dental and healthcare industry of Dubai, UAE and the entire GCC region. Also, the event provided Dubai a great communication platform to spread the message that the Emirate is willing to go big with the latest emerging dental education and technology.

Dubai’s dental market is one of the most advanced dental markets in MENA region.
