The 22nd UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) event on dentistry education concluded on a positive note. The AEEDC exhibition was hosted at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and attracted 50,000 visitors and participants from 133 countries.
The UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) is the largest dental event on dentistry education in the MENASA region (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia) and is considered to be the second-largest dental event globally. By 2020, the organizers aim to make AEEDC the number-one dental conference and exhibition globally.
Key Highlights – AEEDC Event
The AEEDC theme for 2018 was ‘Education & Innovation Transfer’ focusing on providing a real time experience to the dental students. Competitions and poster presentations were also conducted in the event, to actively engage the students. Global healthcare companies, dental industry leaders, dental specialists, and paradental staff also participated in the event across 133 countries. Together they exchanged scientific information on the most advanced dental solutions.
With more than 4700 exhibiting companies, the AEEDC event unveiled the latest technologies and the newest products and equipment for dental professionals. Pioneer and innovative products such as ZirconLITH™ Dental 3D Ceramic Printer and smart toothbrush were introduced to the UAE dental market during the event.
On the other hand, many high-knowledge topics were discussed this year, including 2D and 3D methods of designing anterior teeth, Infection Control, Four-Handed Dentistry, Implantology and Oral Surgery. The 22nd edition of the UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition also witnessed a session about Preventive Dental Medicine.

The event provided invaluable educational experience and an opportunity to review lectures and scientific abstracts highlighting the most advanced innovations in dentistry, in line with Dubai’s strategy to become the leading provider of evidence-based continuous dental education to the dental community.
