Dubai Extreme Sports Expo 2018 Provides a Thrilling Sports Outlook
Outdoor adventure sports and sports entertainment companies alike descended on the day long Dubai Extreme Sports Expo held at Dubai World Trade Center. With almost $1.7 billion total expenditure related to sports in Dubai, the sector is fast coming up as a vital sector to Dubai’s GDP. The extreme sport exhibition also had a unique land action sports village. It held the gathering of the region’s most active innovators, sports companies, participants, and general public. It allows international manufacturers to bring in cutting edge tech and innovations in land action sports. Some of the key sports include slack lining, skateboarding, adventure tour agencies, personal mobility devices, radio controlled road sports, and off-road trucks and vehicles.

UAE is becoming a sports haven because of the number of local and international sport events that are hosted in the country. There are more than 400 sports events that are being conducted in Dubai annually. Based on the total number of spectators at 2 million by 2017, the annual growth rate of the sports sector is estimated to be 16%. The number of local and international participants in these sports event from 2016 to 2017 was around 465,000. Extreme Sports Expo was one of the initiatives taken by the government to promote the sector in Dubai.
