Dubai—The 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market 2024 concluded with a significant increase in attendance, showcasing the resilience and growth of the global tourism sector. The event, held from May 6-9 at DWTC, welcomed over 33,000 visitors from more than 160 countries, an 11% increase from 2023. Over 2,600 companies exhibited, highlighting the theme “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship.”

The Arabian Travel Market 2024 set a new record as it welcomed over 46,000 industry professionals and 33,500 visitors, indicating a 15% y-o-y growth. The theme focused on harnessing innovation and entrepreneurship to foster a more efficient, profitable, and sustainable tourism sector. Danielle Curtis, the Exhibition Director for the Middle East at ATM, noted that the record turnout underscores the event’s position as the premier travel and tourism exhibition. The event featured H.H Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, who chaired a meeting of The Executive Council during the show, approving major transport and tourism-related projects. Earlier this month, Dubai announced a 72 Km coastal project aiming to plant 100 million mangrove trees.
Panels and Awards Highlight Regional Collaboration and Innovation
The opening session featured policymakers from Gulf countries discussing strategies to streamline the GCC’s tourism offerings. The session “Looking Skyward for Innovation: How Technology is Disrupting Aviation” offered predictions on aviation’s future, highlighting the role of innovation and technology in the sector. The UK-based company InterLnkd also won the third ATM Start-up Pitch Battle, showcasing a unique data-driven platform that links the travel, hospitality, fashion, and retail industries. Experience Abu Dhabi received the Best Stand Design Award for its innovative use of space and visibility at the event. Overall, ATM 2024 highlighted the current trends in global tourism and set the stage for future growth and innovation in the industry.
